The Lorne Community Hospital is working in consultation with our local bushfire affected communities to improve access to health services. Our first project is to offer comprehensive medical health checks to those who fought the fires and supported the community in the initial critical post fire period.
This process will be reviewed and adapted in close consultation with the community. All appointments will be completely confidential.
There will be no out of pocket expenses for community members who decide to take this positive step for their own health. During the appointment additional ways to support health can be discussed, and free Flu shots will also be offered.
Appointments will be available for 6 weeks from Wednesday 6 April to Wednesday 18 May.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of Dr David Mullen, Dr Mary Barson and the team at the Lorne Medical Centre who have made this service possible.
Appointments can be made at the Lorne Medical Centre on 5289 4333, by asking for the FREE medical health check for Wye River and Separation Creek community members.
