Driving 3 hrs a shift worth it; accom was available and just a happy professional place to be. Thanks for the shifts and memories.

You can make a difference if you ask 'are you ok?' in person or over the phone and show that person that it's not just a question but that you've been thinking of them, that you're worried about them and you genuinely want to know how they're going.
If we do this, not just on R U OK?Day but every day of the year, the world will be a much better place.
Congratulations to LCH CEO Kate Gillan who has been named one of Victoria’s Top 50 Public Sector Women. Kate was recognised for her inspirational leadership role in rural health at a special awards night hosted by Davidson, specialists in recruitment and human resource consulting.
LCH Board Chair Damien Smith said, “Kate places a very high value and importance on contribution to the community, especially in the rural health sector, recognising the significance and the important impact that health services provide in the non-metropolitan areas. Her dedication and leadership she has provided to the Lorne Community Hospital over the last 6 years has been exceptional.”
Lorne Community Hospital’s Support Services Assistant, Paul Simonsen has been shortlisted for the ‘Passion for Aged Care Award’ at this years aged care forum hosted by Victorian Health Association and Public Sector Residential Aged Care (PSRAC).
The Passion for Aged Care Award acknowledges a PSRAC worker whose passion and commitment to residential aged care is outstanding. The award recognises a valuable worker who strives to improve the current practice of care, health and safety, lifestyle or wellbeing for staff and/or residents.
