The Community Liaison Committee (CLC) is an advisory committee of the Lorne Community Hospital Board. This committee seeks to advocate to the Board on behalf of the community, consumers and carers, and to provide direction and leadership in relation to the integration of community views into the local health service.

The CLC comprises at least two board members, LCH staff, a representative of the Lorne Community & Hospital Auxiliary, and community representatives.

CLC members should:

  • Be active in the community, with strong community networks and a sound understanding of local or regional issues
  • Have the capacity to reflect on and present community issues
  • Reflect the diversity within the community

If you would enjoy being part of a team focused on improving health outcomes in the local community, then this is a great way to get involved.

The CLC meets 5 times per year, and in addition, conducts community consultations with the wider community. Community consultation dates and themes will be published to the broader community and participation in these consultations is encouraged.

If you would like to be part of the Community Liaison Committee, please submit an Expression of Interest to the Administration Coordinator on 5289 4386 or email administration.lorne@swarh.vic.gov.au
